7/12/2025 Biella and Aosta

The slowest part of our journey was the excruciating drive through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, a highway carved beneath Mont Blanc that links Chamonix, France,   with the Aosta Valley in Italy. What should have been a 40-minute drive from the tunnel to Aosta was actually a 2-hour ordeal.

Walking through Aosta.

Tribute to the working class.
The mysterious baptismal's swivel fountain top
was the coolest.
Piazza Emile Chanoux Square in Acosta.
Poseidon, the sea God.
Underground Roman arches (AKA Cryptoporticus Forenses)
formed a labyrinth, which was probably supporting
the Roman Forum and other above-ground temples.
