  7/24/2025 Innsbruck, Austria Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, is a colorful city tucked into the Alps, where visitors enjoy sweeping views, charming cobblestone streets, and skiing.  Once again, I was fortunate to view and photograph many of them from my hotel room balcony. Tina, o ur local guide, was one of the best we ever had. She was a born storyteller who wasn't afraid to tell it like it was, even when it came to her own stories.  And this massive one was the first. Titled "Hearing," by its  artist Julia Bornefeld,  it's  displayed on the façade of the Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck and focuses on acoustic stimuli, sensations, emotions, and engaging in active listening.
